I received my normal weekly email from BCNMES with news of the upcoming Barcelona Roller Derby game … ‘that sounds like fun’ I thought. I knew that Roller Derbies have a certain rock, retro, funky style to them which is right up my alley and I wasn’t disappointed!
Special thanks to the Ingles De Acero team for letting me turn up and shoot away, thanks girls!

Heike & Marco celebrated their wedding with family and friends from Germany under the warm sunshine of Barcelona. To round off the festivities in style, they arranged a surprise evening event for their guests at the ‘El Bambú Chiringuito’ on Ocata Beach just outside of Barcelona.
The chiringuito was completely transformed into a stunning chill-out zone with a lovely table layout, Gerard created an original decoration made out of lights, wooden barrels, bambo sticks, beach sarongs and torches. A gorgeous sunset as people were arriving just finished off the lovely picture I just painted for you. The mood was set for a FUN and relaxed evening.
A special thanks to Petra from Barcelona Wedding & Josep from Sensacions Catering.

Rachel and Mark were married by Rev. Don Jones at the lovely St James Church in Weddington, Warwickshire, England. All grandparents were able to attend this very special occasion, some even traveling from as far as Milan, Italy, which really made Rachel and Mark’s day. The guests were awaiting the bride impatiently as she ran into a slight delay getting her amazing dress into the beautiful and original, unrestored 1939 Rover 14! Rachel found her dress at Sposa in Brinklow and the flower arrangements were done by the Bedworth Florist.
After the lovely ceremony, we stayed on the church grounds for some photographs of the newly weds where we were also honoured with the visit of the local wedding crasher showing up for some photos – a lovely ginger pussycat! After that, it was time to head over to The Cross in Kenilworth for the reception. The Cross was beautifully laid out and everyone was enjoying some refreshments before the meal. I must not forget to mention the piece de resistance: Mark’s mum’s homemade wedding cake with 167 handcrafted sugar roses! I missed out on a slice but I’m sure it tasted as good as it looked! Very much a fun, loving couple and family.
